Time, you’ve been on my mind lately…
When I was young you were infinite…limitless. Consequences of living life like getting old, becoming ill, loosing loved ones seemed so far away. No need for concern. No need for attention or hustle. Hell, it even seemed like an eternity before dinnertime.
But now, with each passing year, the stream seems to flow quicker. The sun sets a little faster. Each breath seems lengthier, taking up more space in my existence.
While you were a sturdy grandfather clock carved out of stone in my youth, I’m now starting to see you for the delicate work of art you truly are; an hourglass constructed out of fine gold leaf…even a strong wind might blow you away.
How do I maximize you without loosing my presence in the moment?
How do I see the sand in the hour glass slipping away, yet value the power of the pause?
How do I work and toil for what’s needed, right, and good, but also marry in the moments of joy, peace, laughter, and relaxation?
My journey continues wether I have the answers or not.
I will feel your urgency, yet continue to seek the moments for contemplation, meditation, regeneration.
Time, the ultimate currency, I will feel blessed when another soul gifts me with their version of you.
Take a moment. Close your eyes.
As you deeply and slowly fill your lungs with air let joy flow within you to fill all pockets of your body with goodness and happiness. As you breathe out, let peace wrap around you in a blanket of calmness, comfort, and acceptance of what was, what is, and what will be.
Breathe in joy, breathe out peace.
Today, and everyday, let your soul shine.
